Ipswich supports all modes of transport for tourists. People here can be seen on walking tours, driving on car hires and travelling on open top buses. Boating along the River Orwell is what most people like to do here on a sunny day. In the evening, people would visit New Wolsey, Regent Theatre, and Corn Exchange for live performances and entertainment. And of course, if someone is a soccer fan, the Portman Road Stadium, a home ground for the famous local team hosts matches at the weekends.
With their many buildings in the city, Ipswich is certainly not a boring place. One of the important old buildings in the city is Old Custom House constructed in 1840s. This ancient house with fanciful plasterwork enthralls a striking façade in the tourists. Close by, there are contrasting structures on the Friars Street that mark the landmarks of 17 century. Out of them, one is the Unitarian meeting House dated to late 17 century, and other is an acclaimed modern-day masterpiece by the name Wills Building. One the most beautiful of oldest buildings on the Boltan Lane is St. Margaret’s church. People visiting this church park their car hire at the nearby shopping mall and visit the church.
This place is also famous after for its nightlife. Tourists coming here stay at the resorts on the Coastline. The popular beach, which is 25min away by rented car, offers seafront promenade and amusements.
