The ancient site of My Son

Cu Chi Tunnels

This is 120 kilometers of tunnels to explore. The tunnels were used by soldiers in the Viet Cong era. They started being constructed in 1948 and have now been restored such that history buffs can now see the routes followed by an underground army at the time. You even get to watch a short movie that will help you understand why and how these tunnels were constructed. These tunnels have meeting rooms, halls and hospitals all incorporated in the maze –it’s quite fascinating.

Hue Imperial City

This UNESCO world heritage site located in Central Vietnam was once the capital city during the Nguyen Dynasty in the 1800s. It can be found on the banks of the Perfume River named this way because of the fragrant flowering orchards located along its banks. It’s a collection of hundred of ruins and monuments including royal tombs, pagodas, a temple, library and magnificent remains of the Forbidden Purple City among other attractions. You will have no problems moving around as the city is quite compact and there are lots of cycles and motorbikes around. It’s a great place to visit if you love old architecture and it is also chockfull of beautiful landscape gems that you will love. Mekong Delta

This is a beautiful place to really take in the authentic Vietnam experience. Lots of floating markets, rice paddies, picturesque villages, sugar cane groves and fruit orchards are littered all along this delta. This place feeds over a third of the country because it is full of rice paddies that have earned it the nickname Vietnam’s Rice Basket.
