There are flights from Salalah that go to Dubai just 2 times every week. So, you can take advantage of that. There are others. Transportation in the city
The city does not have public transportation made available in the city. Nevertheless, there are long distance buses that are air conditioned operating every day from Salalah to various towns and cities nearby. Also, there are cabs. So, you can hire any taxi you want to commute you wherever you want to go. You should know that, taxis in the city are color-coded orange and white. Both buses and taxis are not metered. This means, you must be ready and prepared to understand the use of currency. Also, make sure you ask the driver how much will be charged before you decide to boar car. There is also water transportation where tourists can board boats to be taken to other parts of the city.
Main attractions in the city
Known as the perfume capital of Arabia, the city has got so much perfume to spray into your life. This is because; there are so many natural attractions, mountains, many stands of frankincense trees, etc. All you need to do is to have a good guide and you will see it all. For the perfect scenery, you can take pictures around the city and into the mountains where the country side is lush and green when the monsoon period is near. You can also see the Baobab tree and other animals like hyenas and leopards which are not so common. If you love the beach, you will love the city. There are beautiful and clean beaches in the city. Also, the coastlines are some of the main attractions in the city because they serve as the center for bird watching and scuba diving.
