Alexandria International Airport is a public airport situated seven kilometers southeast of Alexandria’s city center. Alexandria is the second largest metropolitan area and the second largest city after Cairo in terms of population and size. It extends about 32 kilometers along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. - Graeco Roman Museum – This museum is full of fascinating objects that reflect the encounter that the Egyptians had with the Greek culture during the Roman and Hellenistic periods. You can view mosaics, sarcophagi, pottery and many other items. This museum is open from 9am to 4pm. You can get there from the middle of town within a few minutes in your car hire.
- Abu al-Abbas al-Mursi Mosque – This mosque was built by the Algerians in 1775. It has been renovated many times and the last major renovation was done in 1943. The mosque is now an attractive building that has glass skylights, granite pillars, paved marble floors and wooden doors and windows that are intricately carved.
